I'm sure everyone has heard of SharePoint sometime or other.  More and more people are talking about it, but no one really knows what it is.  It is easy it get confused about SharePoint because it is such a powerful tool that can be molded into nearly anything for your business.  Because of its powerful and endless possibilities, it is nearly impossible to describe it in just a few paragraphs.  SharePoint can be your file server, your DMS (document management system), your company website, task & project management system, quick & custom reporting that integrates to your account package and so on.

In the SharePoint Simplified series, we will be breaking down SharePoint into smaller pieces so that you hopefully have a better grasp of what SharePoint can do for you.  If you are interested in reading about a particular feature about SharePoint that is not covered yet, send us an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
